Well yes, Jules leaving was bittersweet indeed. I do miss her happy little presence, but then there is the knowledge that she will have such a wonderful life having her own person to to help, instead of being a third string service dog here. Dell clearly adores her and the way the bond developed between them so quickly reminded me so much of the way you and Red first met. I don't think I'll ever forget the way she took one look at you when I put her in your lap, and clearly decided that you were HER person. Dell and Jules met in the afternoon and we hung out at the hotel until we went to dinner. When we returned to the hotel, Jules layed down on the floor next to Dell and used her feet for a pillow. So much wisdom for such a young girl.

Wagner certainly misses his partner in crime, but then he has also figured out that all the toys are HIS which seems to have eased the pain of parting too. I snagged a big bag of stuffed toys from Freecycle the other day and he immediately went shopping when I opened the bag... choosing one toy, then another, than another. One of his favorites is a Trueheart Care Bear that talks and says things like "Wow...You are SOOOO Huggable!" (which is the truth for sure).

Merry holidays to everyone...
