Of all the dog carts out there, probably the most presigious is the Bob Graham Carriage. It's made out of aircraft grade tubing (he shows a picture of him and another guy standing on the shafts) so it's tough, yet is sleek and sexy in it's black powder coating. It's built with a low center of gravity so it's very difficult to tip over (although being so low to the ground does mean it can drag botton on speed bumps and other items in the path) and it has the safety of both the dog and rider foremost in it's design. If properly adjusted for the height of the dog, a rider can get in and out without worry of putting weight from the shafts down on the backs of the dog or dogs. This is very important since dogs can't take the weight on their backs like horses can. When adjusted right (the shafts are fully adjustable for different sized dogs), the front frame of the cart will hit the ground before any weight is placed on the dogs from where the shafts clip to the harnesses of the dogs.
Sue has one of these carts and most of our dogs have had the pleasure of pulling it. Here is one of our classic pictures with 3 of the dogs in front of the Graham Carriage that Sue has: ![]() Bob Graham has recently started updating and adding more information on his line of dog carriages. His web site can be found here: http://caninecarriages.com/ If you would like more information about the Graham Carriage, you can ask Sue or contact Bob directly. Mike |
