Kim, this is another of those long ago photos. L to R the dogs are Natty, Sam, and Caprice. Sam was poppa to the others who were litter mates. Sadly, these dogs have all passed on. I generally put my best trained dog in the middle, and the others I call "outriggers." They're hitched with just one connection, but can still add a lot of power to the hitch.

Kim, if you look at the picture in this thread: [ link ] you will get a better look at the hookup. This is two shafts so that you can have a dog in the middle and one on each outside hook up. Sue also has a 3 shaft set up that we have had 5 dogs on. It kind of looked like the chariots in Ben Hurr. :D Mike

What kind of "hook-up" did you use to have 3 dogs pull? I've seen the adaptions for 2 but have trouble imagining the shaft setup for a "threesome" kim
