Ear Infections

Unfortunately our Bouviers always seem to be plagued with ear infections. We've tried many prescription drops, OTC drops, cleaners etc. and nothing seems to take care of it for very long. About 15 years ago I had a vet prescribe an oral antibiotic with a matching ear drop antibiotic- and the problem went away- forever. I cannot remember the combination (possibly Baytril?) and the vet is no longer in practice. Has anyone else had this issue with chronic ear infections and found a solution?

Our guy is also chewing at his feet relentlessly. I think the two are connected (allergies?).

I appreciate any help.
