Found this site on how to dremel nails--very thorough--has pictures--worth the read for those, like me, who are attempting to learn how to dremel dog nails.
The site is www.doberdawn.com

To me, the dremel is good on some dogs but for others, it just seems quicker and easier on all concerned to clip rather than grind. Of course Sue has never trusted me to do either, so it's only an observation. :D

I have noticed though that some dogs are bothered more by the ticklish vibration of the dremel than others and some will do fine for 3 paws and then it will be the 4th one that is bothered the most. I've also noticed that it's not the occasional piece of nail flying or the dust that is a bother... it's the smell. Ground nails, especially when they do get a bit warm do not smell very appealing at all. :D
